North Carolina and Orgeon St. are currently playing on espn. ties at 2 in the top of the 8th.

they gave the game away. first off that pitcher with the error tryin to field a bunt, and then that big e-4 that will haunt that 2nd basemen for the rest of his life.

not to mention there hitters left to many guys in scorring position.

The throw was no more than two feet off the bag, it should have been caught easily. For some reason the first baseman was late getting to the bag. Looks like he froze when the ball was hit, making him late getting there and then couldn't get set up at the bag to receive the throw. It was a very unfortunate way to lose a World Series, but not the fault of the 2nd baseman.

wasnt that the catcher who was playing first base? i think even herald reyonlds said he lined up wrong when he went to cover first.

this was a great world series from start to finish. wish the tar heels could have won it, but oh well...i wished that baseball would get as much recognition as the final 4 and BCS football games. this spectacle in Omaha every year is truly a great sporting event.

i totally agree with you man, but it never can match the excitement of college football.

yeah, i like the BCS matchups with the Big East champ plays the PAC-10 #2 team. seems like the BCS always gives us fans what we want. i can't wait until this year we get to see Washington St. play Louisville ! [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
